George H. Eichenlaub

George H. Eichenlaub, 79, of Hockley Hill Road, Muncy, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at his home.

Born in Muncy on Jan. 29, 1934, he was the son of the late Isaac and Sylvia (Robbins) Eichenlaub. He and his wife, Alda M. (Schick) Eichenlaub celebrated 53 years of marriage December 18.

George owned and operated Eichenlaub’s Garage at his home on Hockey Hill Road for over 20 years before suffering a stroke in 1988.

Surviving, besides his wife, are two children, Alan W. Eichenlaub and Audrey G. Eichenlaub, both of Muncy; two granddaughters, Ashley L. Snyder and her husband Galen “Andy” Snyder of Montgomery and Amber N. Harris of Muncy; two great-granddaughters, Alexis and Aubriana Snyder; a brother, Gene (Pauline) Eichenlaub of Montoursville; and three sisters, Helen (Dale) Kile, Imogene (Harold) Swisher and Evelyn Whitmoyer, all of Unityville.

A graveside service was held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville.
