Marjorie V. Snyder

Marjorie V. Snyder, 81, of Muncy, went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, April 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at her home.

She was born April 13, 1932, in Williamsport, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Shank-Strouse) Mumma.

Marjorie was the wife of the late Dean E. Snyder Sr., with whom she shared 58 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2007.

She was a member of the Faith Wesleyan Church of Williamsport.

Marjorie enjoyed gardening, camping with family and taking care of her great-grandchildren.

She was a NASCAR fan and loved watching her favorite driver Tony Stewart.

Marjorie was known as “Me Me” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Dean E. (Julia) Snyder Jr. of Muncy; two daughters, Jenni E. Snyder of Bloomsburg and Diana E. (Thomas) McCue of Montgomery; a brother, Daniel Mumma of Muncy; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends were invited to Marjorie’s Life Celebration service at noon on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., “A Life Celebration Home,” 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Rev. Timothy K. Hartzell officiating. A visitation was held from 10:30 a.m. to noon prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial was in Montoursville Cemetery.

Family provided flowers and suggest that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
