Sonya E. Ream

Sonya Elizabeth Ream, 72, of Hughesville, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at her home.

Born August 10, 1940, in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late Walter R. and Nada L. Krone Hoover. Her husband of 40 years, Elwin H. Ream, preceded her in death on December 13, 2002.

Sonya received her nursing training from Phillipsburg State Hospital Nursing School. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Hughesville, and enjoyed sewing, canning, cooking and flower gardening.

Surviving are a son, Mark S. Ream of Hughesville; a daughter, Heather E. (Francis) Getgen of Hughesville; a sister, Joyce Tedrow of Bellefonte; two granddaughters, Lydia and Marilee Getgen, both of Hughesville; and a step-granddaughter, Bethany Getgen of Pittsburgh.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
