Mildred L. Foust

Mildred L. “Millie” Foust, 82, of Muncy, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born April 9, 1931 in Hughesville, she was a daughter of the late James and Florence (Rittenhouse) Drumm. On September 1, 1951, she married Frank D. Foust, who survives. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Millie was a 1948 graduate of Muncy High School. She spent many years taking care of her home and raising her family.

She was a member of White Hall Baptist Church, Danville, where she enjoyed teaching Bible studies.

Millie and Frank were both very active in Habitat for Humanity, including a trip to Florida in 1992 following hurricane Andrew to help in the relief efforts. She also enjoyed her flower bed and gardening.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Donald and Candace Foust of Scotia, NY; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Joaquin Heard of Boyce, VA; one sister, Ann Richardson of Bluffton, SC; one sister-in-law, Grace Speary of Hughesville; and three grandchildren, twins, Wyatt and Halley Heard, and Andrew Foust.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, James Drumm; and one sister, Connie Johnson.

In keeping with Millie’s wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests contributions in Millie’s name be made to White Hall Baptist Church, 945 White Hall Road, Danville, PA 17821 or the Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity, 540 Lycoming Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 or the American Cancer Society Lycoming Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
