Judith Kay Olsen

Judith Kay Olsen, 78, of 1475 Heidi Grey Road, Hughesville, died peacefully Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 5, 1935, in Harvey, Ill., a daughter of the late Albert and Gladys (Gaskell) Zettler. On Oct. 13, 1956, she married John “Howie” Howard Olsen. They would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this October.

Judith graduated from Midwood High School, Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a member of Pearl River Methodist Church in Pearl River, N.Y.

In her spare time, she loved to sew and knit. For several years, Judy and Howie spent three of their winter months in Winter Garden, Fla.

Surviving in addition to her husband. are four children, Lori Will and husband Drew of Aberdeen, Md., Kurt Olsen and wife Ellen of Muncy, Kari Nelson and husband Tom “Squatty” of Delta, and Jennifer Leslie, of Jamesville, N.Y.; one sister, Joanne Oake, of Florida; 11 grandchildren, Stephen, Jason, Kate, Jeffrey, Maxwell, Hannah, Harry, Maya, Kali, Sophie, and Sarah and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

A viewing was held Tuesday, June 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
