Nora Mae Stahlnecker

Nora Mae Stahlnecker, 93, of 506 Stahlnecker Road, Muncy, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center, Williamsport.

Born July 21, 1919, in Moreland Township, she was a daughter of the late Judson and Bertha Gordner Whitmire.

Nora was a member of the Moreland Community Church, Muncy, and a 1939 graduate of Hughesville High School.

Nora was a farm worker and enjoyed gardening, lawn work and crafts. She had worked at several factories, including Millone Furniture Company, Atwood Silk Mill, Muncy, Montgomery Mills, Montgomery, and Allegheny Warsaw, Montoursville, until it closed.

Surviving is her sister, Edna Fritz of Montoursville.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Rev. Harry Harter officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville. Friends called from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
