Michael Lee Woodhead

Michael Lee Woodhead, 32, of Muncy Valley, died Thursday, June 27, 2013 in Woodward Township.

Born May 15, 1981 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Donna Irene Fulmer Shur and Mark Sr. and Connie Woodhead of 2469 Lycoming Mall Drive, Pennsdale, PA 17756.

Michael was a graduate of Sullivan County High School. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a skilled amateur musician and mechanic, an exceptional outdoorsman, and a dedicated father. Mike recently participated in the Native American festivities at the Forksville Fairgrounds. He was recently featured on a Native American ceremonial music album.

Surviving in addition to his father and step-mother are two children, Natalie and Thaddeus Woodhead, of Tunkhannock; one brother, Mark Woodhead Jr., of Muncy Valley; a sister, Jessica Woodhead and brother Benjamin Woodhead, of Pennsdale; paternal grandparents, Robert and Joan Woodhead, of Forksville; maternal grandparents, Wayne Sr. and Ruth Fulmer, of Muncy Valley; one nephew, Xian Woodhead, of San Angelo, Texas; one niece, Rosalyn Woodhead, of Muncy Valley; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was also considered a brother by many others.

In addition to his mother, Mike was predeceased by an uncle, Wayne Fulmer Jr.

A traditional service will be held at Muncy Valley United Methodist Church Friday, July, 5th at 1 pm and a memorial directly after at the Muncy Valley Fire Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of Connie Woodhead and mailed to Susquehanna Bank, 867 Lycoming Mall Drive, Pennsdale, PA 17756 for the Trust of Natalie and Thaddeus Woodhead.
