George D. Weaver

George D. Weaver, 67, of 68 S. Main St., Hughesville, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013 in HCR, ManorCare North, Williamsport. He had been in failing health for several years.

Born in Williamsport on Feb. 3, 1946, he was the son of the late George E. and Dorothy A. (Webb) Weaver. A 1964 graduate of Muncy High School, he had resided in Hughesville for the last 15 years.

George was employed as a truck driver for several trucking companies during his working years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and served during the Vietnam War.

George was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Weaver.

Surviving are four siblings, Linda J. Mowery, Bloomsburg, Connie L., wife of C. Wayne Burkhart, Catawissa, Betsy J., wife of Jeff Sheets, Delavan, Wis. and Thomas E. Weaver, wife Kyli, Prescott Valley, Ariz. Also surviving are a number of nephews and nieces.

Services were private at the convenience of the family with Interment in Pleasant Hills Cemetery, Hughesville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral and Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
