Willis W. Beaver

Willis W. Beaver, 79, of River Road, Watsontown, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, at his residence.

Born May 12, 1934, in Montgomery, he was the son of the late Chester M. and Althea (Karchner) Beaver. He married the former Helen E. Hersh on June 30, 1956, and celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Willis worked for West Pharmaceuticals Company for 25 years, retiring in 1996. He attended Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, Watsontown. He enjoyed swimming, board games, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. When he was younger he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are sons, Willis F. (Amy) Beaver and Chester M. (Barbara) Beaver of Watsontown; sisters, Althea DeWire of Watsontown, Genevieve Heimbuch of Lewisburg and Evelyn Pentz of Watsontown; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was a son, David A. Beaver on Sept. 16, 2012; two step-grandchildren; brothers, Cleon, Chester, Richard and Rolley Beaver and a sister, Patricia Marsiglia.

Friends were invited to call from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, 5570 Musser Lane, Watsontown, where a funeral service was held at 1 p.m. with, Rev. Michael C. Reece, officiating. Burial followed in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

The family suggest contributions in Willis’s name be made to the Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, 5570 Musser Lane, Watsontown, PA 17777.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown.
