Elbert “Butch” Elwood Hetezel

Elbert “Butch” Elwood Hetezel, 68, of Muncy, formerly of Easton, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at his home with his wife and family by his side.

Born April 1, 1945, in Easton, he was a son of Ruby (Walbert) Hetzel, of Easton and the late Elwood Hetzel. On May 29, he celebrated his 37th wedding anniversary with his wife, the former Mary Jane (Schall).

Butch was a graduate of Wilson High School. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Gouldsboro.

After 32 years of employment, he retired from Penndot.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Tammy Hetzel, of Easton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Jo and Brad Krum, of Bangor and Michelle Hetzel, of Muncy; two brothers, Richard Hetzel, of Bethlehem Township and Wayne Hetzel, of Easton; two sisters, Darlene Scheetz, of Easton and Nancy Margeson, of Emmaus; five grandchildren, Lukas Krum, Logan Krum, Levi Krum, Rebecca Hetzel and Laura Hetzel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Butch’s wishes there will be no services.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society, Lycoming Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701 or Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice (make check payable to Susquehanna Health Foundation), 1001 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701.
