John Harry Gundrum

John Harry Gundrum, 95, of 270 Ridgecrest Circle, Lewisburg, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg, with his wife by his side.

Born September 10, 1917 in Muncy, he was the son of the late Harry K. and Mabel E. (Beeber) Gundrum. On June 6, 2013, he celebrated his 71st wedding anniversary with his wife, the former Lorraine Vollman.

John graduated Muncy High School in 1935 and went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bucknell University in 1939.

John was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinburg.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Harry Joseph and Joyce Gundrum, of Lampeter and John Charles Gundrum, of Mifflinburg.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Gundrum-Donohue and Rebecca Gundrum-Salandi.

A private graveside service was held in Muncy Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Ricky A. Phillips, Evangelical Hospice Chaplain.

The family provided the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 404 Market Street Mifflinburg, PA 17784.
