Hoyt H. Norton

Hoyt H. Norton, 77, of Muncy, died Tuesday July 30, 2013, at the Muncy Valley Hospital, Skilled Nursing Unit. He was born Oct. 15, 1935, in Jasper, N.Y., a son of the late Chet and Kathryn (Madison) Norton.

Hoyt had attended Harrison Valley High School, served in the U.S. Army and was an independent truck driver most of his life retiring in 1997. He loved bingo and building bird houses.

He is survived by children, Robert E. (Bonnie) Norton, Ulysses and Terry Moon, Wellsboro, Kenneth J. (Shelley) Hess, Chambersburg and Carol A. (Dale) Walters, Hughesville; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Robert Norton and Lila Johnson, both of Whitesville, N.Y. and a step-son-in-law, Michael LeClair, Muncy.
