Baldassare Ciaravino

Baldassare Ciaravino, 89, of Muncy, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.

Born Nov. 15, 1923, in Italy, he was a son of the late Vito and Maria Cristina Caleca Ciaravino. His wife of 54 years, Anna Barbara Ciaravino, preceded him in death on July 25, 2007.

Surviving are a son, Vito (Lisa) Ciaravino of Muncy; a daughter, Maria Cristina (Gasper) Saladino of Muncy; a brother, Filippo Ciaravino of Italy; five grandchildren, Annamaria Ciaravino, Salvadore (Jessica Arnberg) Saladino, Rosanna (Kurt) Haussamann, Laura (Josh Gardner) Saladino and Steven Saladino; and two great-grandchildren, Lana and Enza Haussamann.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, with Rev. Glenn McCreary officiating. Burial followed in Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville. Friends called from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
