Harry Bruce Westerdale Jr.
Harry Bruce Westerdale Jr., 72, a resident of Muncy, Pa., formerly of Detroit, Mich., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013. Born in Detroit, Wayne County, Mich., on Saturday, Dec. 28, 1940, he was the son of the late Harry B. and Grace L. (O’Neil) Westerdale.
Harry was the widower of Jeannette “Dolly” Gale (Sutton) Westerdale who preceded him in death on Oct. 10, 2010.
He was a 1959 graduate of Highland Park Michigan High School and honorably served during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army, serving as a Military Policeman.
Harry was employed as a Deputy U.S. Marshall by the Middle District of Pennsylvania retiring in 1994.
He enjoyed the company of his grandchildren and was a die hard Michigan Wolverine fan.
Harry is survived by two children, Bruce F. Westerdale and his companion, Melanie Mazur, Nanticoke, Pa.; Ginger Westerdale, Lightstreet, Pa.; two grandchildren, Brett and Gabrielle and by two sisters, Kathy Mitchell and Gladys Tibbs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Harry was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
