Jean Louise Spizzirri
Jean Louise Spizzirri, 78, of Kinsey St., Montgomery, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Susquehanna Health Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, Muncy.
She was born May 26, 1935, in Millersburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Hoke) Kreisher. On Aug. 28, 1956, she married Augustine “Gus” Spizzirri, who survives. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Jean graduated from Millersburg High School in 1953, where she was awarded a full nursing scholarship from the Millersburg Moose. She later graduated from Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked as a registered nurse at Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital, Saint Mary’s, Buffalo Valley Nursing Home and retired from the former Dr. Weiner family practice, Montgomery.
She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection.
Jean was an avid doll collector, reader and Jeopardy watcher. She enjoyed walking daily and shopping trips to the mall on Fridays.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters, Debra A.(Rudy) Marks, of Sunbury, Darlene M. (Kevin) Bower, of Allenwood, Lori A. (Charles) Noll, of Williamsport and Lynn M. (Michael) Litzelman, of Allenwood; seven grandsons; two granddaughters; seven great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Nancy Erdman and one brother, Ronald Kreisher.
Friends were received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where a rosary was held at 5:45 p.m. and again from 10 to 11 a.m. today, on Wednesday at the Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCreary.
Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, PA 17756 or Alzheimer’s Association 3544 N.
