Delores A. Creel

Delores A. Creel, 58, a resident of Muncy, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at her residence. Born in Muncy, Lycoming County, on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor Ruth (Sorensen) and LaRue D. Smith who survives her, of Muncy.

Delores was an excellent artist. She enjoyed attending yard sales, collecting rocks, making jewelry and shopping.

In addition to her father and step-mother, Grace Smith, whom she considered as her own mother, Delores is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry A. and Bill Fitzpatrick, of Michigan, Linda S. and Daniel McKee, of Muncy and one brother and sister-in-law, Donald K. and Debra Smith, of Japan; and three step-brothers and two step-sisters-in-law, Daniel and Li Balliet, of Williamsport, Kevin and Lauren Balliet, of Picture Rocks, and Gregory Balliet, of Williamsport. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews; two step-nieces; 14 great-nieces and nephews and four great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Creel.

A memorial service was conducted from the First United Methodist Church, 602 South Market St., Muncy, at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, with Reverend Arlene P. Beechert officiating. Interment was in the Twin Hills Memorial Park.
