Evelyn M. Showers Balliett

Evelyn M. Showers Balliett, 88, of Balliett Road, Muncy, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at home.

Born Nov. 20, 1924, in Watsontown, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Emily (Faux) Showers.

Evelyn was a 1942 graduate of Turbotville High School.

She had been employed at Philco/Ford, Watsontown, then Retired in 1984 after 33 years of service from Sylvania in Montoursville. From 1959 to 1964, she owned her own beauty shop out of her home in Lewis Township.

She attended First Lutheran Church, Watsontown.

She was a member of the VFW Aux. in Turbotville.

Emily enjoyed collecting tea pots.

Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, James C. and Sandra Balliett, of Muncy.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Showers and one son and daughter-in-law, John and Joan Balliett.
