John E. Schooley
John E. Schooley, 52, of 170 Fullertown Road, Muncy, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Muncy Valley Hospital.
Born Nov. 30, 1960, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Karl E. and M. Patricia D. C. (Jones) Schooley.
Among many places of employment, John most recently worked at Pennsylvania Folding Carton Inc., Hughesville.
John enjoyed many hobbies including building model cars and ships, hunting and fishing, woodworking, tinkering with cars, riding his motorcycle and collecting all sorts of things.
Surviving are his companion, Kathy M. Gordner; five brothers, Karl E. and Scott E. Schooley, both of Muncy, Terry E. Schooley, of Waldorf, Md., Collin E. Schooley, of Turbotville and Dale E. Schooley of Muncy; five sisters, Gwenda M. Confer and Patricia M. Robbins, both of Muncy, Janette M. Frey, of Cogan Station, Charlene M. Bryson, of Muncy and Dorothy M. Love, of Watsontown; one adopted daughter, Kimberly R. Gordner, of Hughesville; two adopted grandchildren, Alex Gordner and Riley Gordner-Kapp, both of Hughesville; and many nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by a brother, George and a sister, Susan, both in infancy.
Friends were received from 2 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
The family provided the flowers and suggests contributions be made to Grenoble Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
