Gladys H. Weary

Gladys H. Weary, 89, a resident of Montgomery, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, in the Sycamore Manor Health Center. Born in Montgomery, Lycoming County, on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Lester C. and Letha (Flick) O’Dell.

Gladys was the widow of Daniel M. Weary Jr. who preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2010.

She attended the Montgomery-Clinton High School. Gladys was employed as a floor lady by the former Montgomery Mills and was later employed in the shipping department at Sybill Mills, now Wundies, Inc.

Gladys enjoyed traveling with her family and being near the water. Dan and Gladys spent many years fishing together in the bay at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda D. (Bruce) Schrader, of Manassas, Va., Christine E. McNeill, of DuBoistown; one brother, Gordon “Digger” (Peggy) O’Dell, of Williamsport; and four grandchildren, Kristen Schrader, Brett Schrader, Brady McNeill and Austin McNeill. In addition to her husband, Gladys was preceded in death by her son, Gary A. Weary; two brothers, Kenneth O’Dell and Donald O’Dell; and one sister, Mildred Wirth-Roser.
