Betty J. Fox

Betty J. Fox, 89, of Hughesville, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at the Gatehouse.

Born June 21, 1924, in Wyalusing, she was a daughter of the late Gabriel and Maribah Eddy Hibbard. Her husband of 56 years, Raymond Ned Fox, preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1998.

Betty and her husband owned and operated the former, Fox’s Garage, for more than 40 years in the Highland Lake area. She truly enjoyed her family, which included taking fishing trips to Canada and spending time with her grandchildren.

Betty was a member of the Mapleton Community Church and liked to quilt and crochet.

Surviving are a daughter, Melody A. (Donald) Bartlett, of Hughesville; a son, Robert H. (Joan) Fox, of Hughesville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Gatehouse, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
