Richard A. Reynolds
Richard A. Reynolds, 76, of 311 Hall Dr., Watsontown, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Susquehanna Health Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Muncy.
Born December 27, 1936 in Montgomery, he was a son of Charles and Mildred (O’Connor) Reynolds. His wife of 45 years, the former Joanne Mary Neufer, preceded him in death on November 25, 1999.
Richard attended Watsontown High School. He began his working career at the Silk Mill in Watsontown and Modecraft in Muncy. He later worked as a fabricator and welder at the former Sprout-Waldron, now Andritz, Muncy before retiring in 1999, where he was also a member of the Quarter Century Club.
He was a member of the Edward J. Smith Post 3428 V.F.W. and the Clyde F. Mowrer American Legion Post #323.
Surviving are his companion, Florence F. Smith, of Watsontown; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard T. and Barb Reynolds, of Muncy; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ken Wodrig, of Muncy; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Mark and Maryanne Reynolds and Donald and Larry Reynolds, all of Watsontown; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Steve Gray, of Watsontown; one brother-in-law, Albert VanHoute, of Watsontown; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by a son, Gary Reynolds, one brother, Wayne Reynolds and two sisters, Alberta Warren and Joan VanHoute.
Friends were received from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, November 23, at Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, 5570 Musser Ln. Watsontown, where the funeral was held at 10 a.m. Officiating was his nephew, Rev. Stephen E. Gray, III and Rev. Michael Reece of Delaware Run Wesleyan Church.
Burial followed in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
