Beletha “June” Triplett, 84, formerly of Montgomery, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mary Rebecca Triplett-Hockenbrock, of Muncy, on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013.

Born in Pinsonfork, Pike County, Ky., on Friday, Sept. 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Ethel (Crissman) Puckett.

She was the widow of Kirt Triplett, who preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2011. They had celebrated 63 years of marriage.

June was a 1946 graduate of Belfry High School at Belfry, Ky. She was employed in the meat department of the Weis Markets at Montgomery for 35 years.

She was a long time member of the Clinton Baptist Church at Montgomery. After her retirement she served as a volunteer at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit for many years. She was an avid reader, lover of animals and showed compassion for all people. June was a true Southern Lady.

In addition to her daughter, with whom she resided, June is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny L. and Vikie Triplett, of Maryland and five grandchildren, CW3 James L. (Rhonda) Triplett, Kirt Allen Triplett, Adrienne (Anthony) Hufford, Major James E. (Tiffany) Cotner, and SGT Stanley J. (Kimberly) Hockenbrock. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

A celebration of her life was held at the Clinton Baptist Church, 60 Warren St., Montgomery, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 with Dave Jacobs, her pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends called on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
