Carl A. Eichenlaub Sr.
Carl A. Eichenlaub Sr., 76, of Hester Drive, Watsontown, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born in Hughesville, on Nov. 13, 1937, he was the son of the late Simon and Clara (Trick) Eichenlaub. He married the former Edith J. Holmes Aug. 10, 1957, and they had celebrated 56 years of marriage.
Carl was an Army veteran and worked as an electrician at Bucknell University. He was very active with the Warrior Run Area Fire Department as a fireman and was a former Chief of the fire police.
Carl was a former Boy Scout leader and a former member of the Forksville Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Carl A. (Linda) Eichenlaub Jr., of Watsontown, Craig A. (Brenda) Eichenlaub, of Washingtonville, Cris A. (Sherry) of Eagle River, Alaska; a daughter, Cathy A. (David) Rudy, of Selinsgrove; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him were a sister, Ruth Sampsell and three brothers, Paul, Bruce and Grant Eichenlaub.
Friends were invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec.4, at the Friendship Baptist Church, Susquehanna Trail, Watsontown where a funeral service was held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jerry L. Caswell, officiating. Burial was in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
