Thelma O. Breidinger

Thelma O. Breidinger, 87, formerly of 15 S. Washington St., Muncy, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Grayson View, Selinsgrove.

Born May 12, 1926 in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Oletha (Hendrix) Casler. Her husband of 37 years, Clarence Breidinger, preceded her in death August 27, 1985.

Thelma worked as an LPN at various local nursing homes and hospitals.

She was a lifelong member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, South Williamsport, where she was an active volunteer and servant of God.

With a huge heart, Thelma enjoyed helping others and spending time with children. In her spare time she was fond of sewing, needlepoint, baking and tinkering in her flower gardening.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and Lynnda Breidinger, of Chico, CA; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Kathryn Deitrick, of CA and Mellodee and Allen Steele, of Williamsport; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Paul Casler, of CA and Bill and Rosie Casler, of FL; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, Roger E. Breidinger and one daughter, Cristina L. Garlick.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, December 12 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 6 p.m. with her grandson, Rev. Ryan Gephart, officiating.
