Louise P. Scott

Louise P. Scott, 89, of Wentworth, N.H., passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 29, 2013. She was born on Jan. 25, 1924, in Williamsport, to the late Harry and Edna (Shipman) Pewterbaugh. Louise attended Muncy High School, and was a member of the graduating class of 1942. After high school, she went on to become an RN. Throughout her career she worked for the Williamsport Hospital, the Divine Providence Hospital, and the Muncy Valley Hospital. She retired from Muncy State Correctional Institution in 1984.

On Aug. 2, 1952, she married her best friend, the late Ralph L. Scott. She is survived by a daughter, Melissa A. Barton, of Wentworth, N.H.; a granddaughter, Tamsin (Brandon) Stuart; a grandson, Corey J. Barton; three great-grandchildren; a brother, William Pewterbaugh; a sister-in-law, June Pewterbaugh; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Howard Pewterbaugh; a nephew, Craig Pewterbaugh; and a sister-in-law, Elsie Pewterbaugh. Louise was an avid reader, liked doing crossword puzzles, collecting recipes, and watching birds.

No services are planned at this time, there will be a graveside memorial to be held at a later date. An announcement will be posted.
