Ronald Luther Bartlow
Ronald Luther Bartlow, 71, a resident of Montgomery, left this earth at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at his home. Born in Clinton Township, Lycoming County, on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1942, he was the son of the late Walter and Hazel (Bartlett) Bartlow.
Ron was the husband of Sandra L. (Miller) Bartlow with whom he celebrated a 49th wedding anniversary on Aug. 7, 2013.
He attended Montgomery Clinton High School. Ron retired from the Montgomery High School in 2000. Earlier in life he had been employed by Prismo (Redland) and by the East Lycoming School District at the Lairdsville School.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church at Montgomery. Ron had many hobbies but woodworking was his passion, feeding the squirrels and birds was next on his list. He was certainly an outdoor person, hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved his porch where he whiled away many hours of his life.
In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by two children, Brian K. and Penny Bartlow, of Montgomery, Lisa S. Bartlow, of Montgomery and four sisters, Connie Mae Bartlow, Helen L. Dougherty, Sharon Verdoni and Linda Frey. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Christina Marie Bartlow; one brother, Walter E. “Wink” Bartlow; and and one sister, Beverly Newton.
