Shane C. Edwards

Shane Carl Edwards, 39, a resident of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at his residence.

Born in Muncy Creek Township on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1974, he was the son of the late Larry D. Edwards and Carol B. (Day) Morgan, who survives him, of Muncy.

Shane was a 1993 graduate of Montgomery High School and a 2002 graduate of Lock Haven University. He was employed as the district manager by Bath Fitters Inc. at Muncy and Harrisburg for ten years.

Shane was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing cards and watching football, especially Penn State.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Carol and Robert Morgan, Muncy; maternal grandfather, Richard L. (Dot) Day, Muncy; step-brother, Jonathan (Leslie) Morgan, Muncy; step-sister, Beth Morgan, Georgia; uncle, Max (Jo aAnn-Deceased) Shnyder, Montgomery; aunt, Carol Edwards (Richard “Muggs” – Deceased) Miller, Montgomery; uncle, Dick J. (Karen) Day, Muncy; Aunt, Ruth (Phil) Trapane, Bloomsburg; aunt, Linda (Ray) Ritter, Danville; aunt, Cathy Blain, Danville. Shane is also survived by many beloved cousins and friends.

In addition to his father, Shane was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Oda M. Day, and his paternal grandparents, Carl W. and Evelyn Edwards.

Funeral services were conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, with Reverend Robert E. Dunkelberger, pastor of the Muncy Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment was in the Elimsport Cemetery.
