Janet M. Nicolosi
Janet M. Nicolosi, 80, of Muncy, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 18, 1934, in Tamaqua, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred (Baylor) Hackenburg. Her husband of 40 years, Salvatore Nicolosi, preceded her in death Dec. 4, 1993.
Janet was a 1951 graduate of Williamsport High School. She retired from American Home Foods, now ConAgra, Milton.
She was of the Protestant faith.
Janet was a survivor of both breast and colon cancer, and was very active with the breast cancer awareness program at Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg. She enjoyed shopping and going to flea markets.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Billie Nicolosi, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Christopher Nicolosi, of Milton; a companion, Martin Williams, of Muncy; and one niece, Beth Schaffer, of Milton.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one sister, Doris Lundy and two brothers.
Friends were received from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral was held at 11 a.m., with Rev. Arlene Beechert of First United Methodist Church, Muncy, officiating.
Burial followed in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
