Joseph W. Eberlin

Joseph W. Eberlin, 64, of Sonestown, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at The Gatehouse.

Born September 11, 1949, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Howard and Barbara Smithover Eberlin. His wife of 29 years, Debra M. King Eberlin, preceded him in death on November 6, 2013.

Joe was employed with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for over 20 years and enjoyed hunting and playing softball.

Surviving are a daughter, Shana J. Eberlin, of Muncy Valley; four sons, Clint W. Eberlin, of Muncy Valley, David (Candy) Eberlin, of Allenwood, Timothy (Lisa) Eberlin, and Nicholas (Tara) Eberlin, both of Canton; a stepdaughter, Deanna Kepner, of Muncy Valley; a sister, Patricia Peterman, of Muncy Valley; three brothers, Thomas (Bonnie) Eberlin, Donald (Debbie) Eberlin and Ronald (Sherry) Eberlin, all of Muncy Valley; and seven grandchildren, Brandon Eberlin, Ryder Eberlin, Shelby Eberlin, Zack Eberlin, Colby Eberlin, Carter Eberlin and Kendra Kepner.

In addition to his parents and wife, Joe was preceded in death by a brother, David Eberlin.

Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Hughesville.
