Marguerite B. ‘Margie’ Cox

Marguerite B. “Margie” Cox, 84, of Muncy Valley, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Unit.

Born July 18, 1929, in Muncy Valley, she was a daughter of the late Mary M. Speary. Her husband of 58 years, John G. Cox, preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2006.

Surviving are four sons, Daniel L. Cox, of Muncy Valley, Walter A. (Barbara) Cox, of Lock Haven, Dennis L. (Nioma) Cox, of Efland, N.C. and Robert J. (Judy) Cox, of Muncy Valley, 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and husband, Margie was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles David Cox.

Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Hughesville.
