Eleanor Mae Shoemaker

Eleanor Mae Shoemaker, 85, of Hughesville died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014.

She was born July 11, 1928, in Sullivan Co., a daughter of the late Milo S. and Ocia I. (Phillips) Michael. In 1942, she married Robert E. Shoemaker, who died in 2001.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, by Rev. Jane O’Borski. The interment was in the Muncy Cemetery. The family received friends in the funeral home on Tuesday, from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the SUN Home Hospice, 260 Reitz Blvd., Lewisburg, PA 17837. The family wishes to thank the Muncy Valley Hospital, Skilled Nursing Unit and Rehabilitation Center for their special care of Eleanor.
