Edith J. Marshall

Edith J. Marshall, 86, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Sycamore Manor.

Born July 11, 1927, in Montgomery, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Julia (Mills) Vought.

Edith retired from Cobbler’s shoe manufacturing. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word searches and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are two children, James E. Marshall, of Cogan Station and Bonnie Lee DeGarmo (Melvin), of Williamsport; three grandchildren, Malcolm Erb III (Matthew McKay), of Williamsport, Benjamin Marshall (Patricia), of South Williamsport, and Amber Marshall, of Reading, and two siblings, John Vought, of Harrisburg and Nancy Hess, of Williamsport.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Armond S. Marshall on Dec. 11, 2001, and seven siblings, Winifred Tubbs, Betty Lowmiller, and Edward, Donald, Charles, Martha and Margaret Vought.

A memorial service was held 3 p.m. Monday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial was held at Twin Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
