Agnes C. DeBrunner
Agnes C. “Aggie” DeBrunner, 90, formerly of Muncy, PA, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Bethany Village, Lower Allen Twp.
She was a retired secretary with Sprout-Waldron in Muncy. She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Mechanicsburg and a volunteer for the library of Bethany Village’s Long Term Care Unit. Aggie enjoyed playing cards and was a voracious reader. She loved Bethany Village and all of her friends there.
Aggie was born in Elizabethtown to the late Frank and Helen (Heistand) McClurg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son David Lee DeBrunner.
She was the widow of Charles L. DeBrunner and is survived by a son Charles L. DeBrunner and wife Gloria of Harrisburg; sisters, Helen L. McClurg of Palmyra and Bessie M. Kniley of York; a brother Frank H. McClurg of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren, Benjamin DeBrunner of Harrisburg and Andrew DeBrunner and wife Sarah of New Cumberland; and a great granddaughter Cecelia DeBrunner.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 8 E. Keller St. Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with the Rev. Dr. Christopher Perry Mason officiating. Visitation was one half hour prior to service time in the church. Inurnment was in the church columbarium.
