Daniel E. McCourt

Daniel E. McCourt, 76, of Muncy, died on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Center. His wife, the former Ruthie P. Cowher, passed away in 2004.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1938, in Webster Springs, W. Va. and was the son of Eugene and Glennis McCoy Mc Court.

Daniel was a graduate of Muncy High School. He was a welder for Anchor Darling Valve, enjoyed fishing and was a member of American Legion Post 281, Montgomery.

He is survived by four sons, James, (Karen) of Trout Run, Matthew, (Donna) of Liverpool, Jody, (Diane) of Maryland, Dan, (Tina) of Cleveland, N.C.; eight grandsons; three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren. Daniel was predeceased by a son, Martin W. McCourt.

Services were private at the convenience of the family.

The family provided flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Daniel’s name be made to American Legion Post 251, 185 Broad St., Montgomery, PA 17752. Kaufman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. Williamsport.
