Edna L. Harer
Edna L. Harer, 79, a resident of Montgomery, PA left this world in the arms of her loving children and was welcomed into the embrace of her Savior on Saturday, March 29, 2014.
Born in Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, PA on Monday, October 1, 1934 to the late Lena (Willits) Hostrander, Edna is survived by her father, Harry Hostrander of Jersey Shore, PA.
A faithful member of New Covenant Assembly of God Church, Edna was a woman of unwavering faith in God and the heart and soul of her family. Edna enjoyed watching her loved ones participate in sporting events. Montgomery fans rarely missed Edna on the sidelines cheering on her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her father, Edna is survived by her sister, Deanna Mundrick, Jersey Shore, PA and brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Kay Hostrander of Florida.
Edna was the Loving mother of Robert and Mona Hanford, Montgomery, PA; Joseph Hanford, Jersey Shore, PA; Charles and Jean Hanford, Montgomery, PA; Tara Miller, Muncy, PA; Sara Scaife, Williamsport, PA; Samuel and Tina Harer, Montgomery, PA; Kenneth and Kimberly Harer, Montgomery, PA; and Denny and Jennifer Harer, Muncy, PA. She leaves a legacy of 23 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, Edna was predeceased by her sister Mildred (Tootie) Manikowski.
In celebration of her faithful life, a service was held at New Covenant Assembly of God, 1270 Pinchtown Road, Montgomery, PA at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2014 with fellowship and light refreshments following.
