Harry Richart Jr.

Harry Richart Jr., 88, of Muncy, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Unit.

Born December 9, 1925, in Hughesville, he was a son of the late Harry Sr., and Brittie Irene Harding Richart.

Harry was employed at Bridon America for over 30 years. He was also employed as a security guard at Sprout Waldron’s and retired from the former Anton Waldman’s in 1987.

Surviving are a daughter, Dolly P. (Barry) Hill of Muncy; a son, Robert J. (Ann) Richart of Muncy; a brother, Myron Richard of Montoursville; five grandchildren, Rob (Nichole Houseknecht) Richart of Hughesville, Michael Richart of Harrisburg, Lisa (Eddy) Robenolt of Danville, Amanda Hill of Muncy, and Matthew Hill of Muncy; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Leach C. George Richart; a son, Ronnie Richart; a great-grandson, Landon Charles Richart; a sister, Gerry Huffman; and five brothers, LaRue, Stanley, Herman, Harley and Eugene Richart.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville. Burial followed in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Friends called from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday at the funeral home.
