Lynn R. Minier
Lynn R. Minier, 64, of Muncy, died Sunday, April 13, 2014.
Born June 13, 1949, in Bloomsburg, he was a son of the late David and Edith Earnest Minier. He and his wife, the former Nancy L. Farver, have been together over 40 years.
Lynn previously owned and operated the Pine Tavern and Motel, Laporte and the Tivoli Tavern. He was a social member of the Hughesville Legion and was an avid Yankees fan and Dallas Cowboys fan. Lynn also enjoyed playing pool and softball.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Nicholas (Sandra) Kappas, of Hughesville and Michael, Kappas of Muncy; four grandchildren, Montana, Makenna, Owen and Austin; a sister, Holly (Denny) Faus, of Millville; and three brothers, David (Marjorie) Minier, of Millville, Tony (Sandy) Minier, of Muncy and Jake Minier, of Millville.
A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Friday, April 18, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Pastor Dan Cale officiating. Friends called from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
