Mary E. Bartlett
Mary E. (Woodell) Bartlett, 80, of Montgomery, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Susquehanna Health Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Muncy.
She was born on May 27, 1933, in Ardmore, Md., and was the daughter of the late Kelly and Ethel M. (Knight) Bartlett.
On March 1, 1952, Mary married the late Kenneth Bartlett and they celebrated 53 years of marriage together until his death on March 31, 2005.
Mary was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy, Montgomery Library Board, Resurrection Church Woman’s Organization, a past president of the Montgomery Senior Citizens Club and volunteered at the Muncy Valley Hospital. Mary enjoyed many things including, reading, cooking for her church and making crafts for the Bazaar. She took it upon herself to make sure unused food was taken to St. Anthony’s Kitchen when the church would have a dinner. Mary loved spending time at her church but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Mary worked for Montgomery Mills for over 20 years and then went on to retire from West Pharmaceuticals after 10 years in 1995.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth W. (and wife, Deborah) Bartlett, of Wellsboro, Allan K. (and wife, Christine) Bartlett, of Montgomery and Mark G. (and wife, Judy) Bartlett, of Montgomery, two daughters, Linda S. (and husband, Carl Jr.) Eichenlaub, of Watsontown and Tanya J. (and husband, Dennis Jr.) Deem, of Montgomery, 13 grandchildren, Britney, Teresa, Darryll, Marcus, Alyssa, Robert and Dennis Bartlett, Angela Tinder, Catrina Russell, Ashley Swartz, Matthew Allabach, Heather Waring and Dakkota Deem; 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph (and wife, Ginny) Woodell of Crofton, Md., Allen (and wife, Janice) Woodell, of Wiliamston, S.C.; one sister, Lynne (and husband, Ed) Hubert, of Bowie, Md.; three sisters-in-law, Edith St. James, of Montgomery, Hazel Bartlett, of Watsontown, and Philis Woodell, of Deale, Md; and one brother-in-law, Vick Maggiore, of Buffalo, N.Y.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Woodell and two sisters, Ethel M. Cangemi and Helen Maggiore.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from noon to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy PA 17756. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Glenn McCreary officiating.
