Cleon L. Poust Jr.

Cleon L. Poust Jr., 84, of Montgomery, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born March 24, 1930, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Cleon and Dorothy Buck Poust. He and his wife, the former Nancy Jordan, celebrated 55 years of marriage on Oct. 24, 2013.

Cleon served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 601, Sonestown. In 1992 he retired from the former Anton Waldman’s, after having worked there over 27 years.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four daughters, Regina (Carl) Rogers, of Renovo, Renee (James) Robbins, of Montgomery, Richele (Stephen) Dirk, of Muncy and Rise (Dale Hornberger) Shuck, of Muncy; a sister, R. Lucille Guinter, of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, April (David) Slagenweit, Jamie (Rick Alter) Robbins, Tonya (Jesse Mayeresky) Robbins, James (Nicole Fetterhoff) Robbins Jr., Wesley Snyder, Justin (Amber Ulrich) Poust, Joshua Hicks and Janelle Hicks; four great-grandchildren, Braylon Snyder, Brooke Robbins, Kaylynn Slagenweit and Julian Mayeresky; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family provided the flowers and suggest memorial contributions be made to FUMC, c/o Building Fund, 602 South Market St., Muncy, PA 17756.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Hughesville.
