Maude E. Woodley

Maude E. Woodley, 95, of Montoursville, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at her home.

Born May 19, 1918, in Penn Township, Lycoming County, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Alta Mae Barto Reese. Her husband of 57 years, Bruce K. Woodley, preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1997.

Maude was a member of the Alleghany Grange and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crafts, baking and cooking.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret A. (Carmen) Rupert, of Muncy and Barbara A. Miller, of Montoursville; a son, Donald L. Reese, of Muncy; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Maude was preceded in death by a son, Raymond “Buzz” Woodley.

Funeral services were held 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. officiating. Burial followed in St. James Lutheran “White Church” Cemetery, Muncy. Friends called from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
