Stan Lyons

Stan Lyons, 69, of Muncy, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at his home.

Born April 4, 1945, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Richard Lyons and Geraldine Barrett Ellsworth.

He and his wife, the former Debra E. Smith, celebrated 13 years of marriage on December 22, 2013.

Stan retired in 2006 from Textron Lycoming, formerly AVCO, and loved riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Michael (Susan) Lyons, of Lewisburg; three brothers, Kenneth (Grace) Lyons, of Muncy, Harland Lyons, of Bradford and Richard Lyons, of N.C.; three grandchildren, Blake Kranz, Trenton Lyons and Nathan Lyons; two brother-in-laws, Frank (Sharon) Smith, of South Williamsport and Bill (Penny) Smith, of Williamsport; two sister-in-laws, Kathy (Jeff) DeLong, of Harrisburg and Mary Sue Seyler, of South Williamsport; and a mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Smith, of South Williamsport.

In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Bernardi and a step-father, Francis Ellsworth.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Rev. Mark Brumbach officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the funeral home.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society at .
