Paul Franklin Hill

Paul Franklin Hill died on May 13, 2014, at Johnson County Memorial Hospital in Buffalo, Wyo.

He was the son of Maggie and Alan Hill, of Allenwood, Pa. At age 15 he joined the Merchant Marines and was on cargo ships during World War II. Then at age 17 he joined the Army and spent 3 years in Japan revising communications. Upon returning from the Army he joined The Mid-Atlantic Amateur Boxing Association in 1949. He then worked at Modecraft in Muncy. He also owned Hills Gas Station in Montgomery for 16 years.

He had previously been married to Mary Lois Hoffman (Hill) for 38 years. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers Fred, Charlie, Bill, and Raymond Hill; one sister Josephine; and by his son Kenneth Hill.

He is survived by three brothers Jim, Bob and John Hill; two sisters Mary and Daisy; three living children, Terry Hill, Gwenith Holmes (Gary Umstead) Greg Hill (Dana Hill); 11 grandchildren Terry Jr. Hill, Brian Hill, Stacey Fitzsimmons (Ken), Traci Runkle (Ryan), Bradley Yohn (Stephanie),Kayla Walter (Andrew),Jacob Hill, Jessica Mason, Monica Hill, Jeremiah Hill,and Kenneth Hill; and 12 great-grandchildren. He Also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be missed dearly.
