Pauline Mae McKee
Pauline Mae McKee, 91, formerly of Muncy, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Sycamore Manor.
Born Sept. 14, 1922, in Turbotville, she was a daughter of the late Frank P. and Mary A. Heddings Cromley. Her husband of 41 years, James M. McKee, preceded her in death Nov. 9, 1982.
Pauline attended the Turbotville High School and in 1992, retired from the East Lycoming School District after having worked as a cook for over 30 years. She was a former social member of the American Legion, Montoursville and the Milton VFW. Pauline enjoyed gardening, crocheting, needlework, and above all, spending time with her family.
Surviving are three daughters, Caroline L. Wicks, of Montoursville, Barbara A. (Richard) Gamble, of Montgomery and Linda J. (John) Rose, of Hughesville; four sons, James M. (Patricia) McKee, of Hughesville, Richard M. (Linda) McKee, of New Columbia, Roger A. (Linda) McKee, of South Williamsport and Larry M. (Patricia) McKee, of Pennsdale; five sisters, Elizabeth Walburn, Florence Keister, Betty Barrows, Aida Ruhl and Thelma Day; a brother, Wayne F. (Sandy) Cromley; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville. Friends called from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
