Paul S. Harris

Paul S. Harris, 84, of Muncy, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 30, 1929, in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County. A son of the late Clarence and Helen (Springman) Harris. On November 25, 1949, he married the late Norma Kuhns who died December 21, 2001.

Paul was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, and served as a church council member. He was a dairy farmer his whole life in Fairfied Township, and served on the St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery board until 2014.

Paul would help anyone, and enjoyed hunting, arrowhead hunting, John Deere tractor restoration, gardening and traveling.

He is survived by a son, Greg (Stephanie) Harris, of Muncy; a daughter, Jody (Randy) Johnston, of Muncy; three grandchildren, Jeremy Harris, of Muncy, Melanie (Tim) Brownsberger, of Watsontown and Mindy (David) Lundy, of Cogan Station; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilmer (Patsy) Harris, of Boiling Springs and John (Claudia) Harris, of Boiling Springs; a sister-in-law, Betty Harris, of Muncy; and a brother-in-law, Charles Kuhns, of Montoursville.

Paul was preceded in death by a brother, C. Clifford Harris.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, at the St. James Lutheran “White Church” Church, 1679 Lycoming Mall Drive, Muncy, with Rev. Beverly D. Cotner officiating. Friends called from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
