Harry E. Shipman

Harry E. Shipman, 65, of Montoursville passed away June 7, 2014, peacefully at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 18, 1948, in Muncy a son of the late Robert Taylor and Joan Ann (Miller) Shipman. May 23, 1971, he married Evelyn Louise Fetterhoff, who survives.

Harry graduated from Muncy High School, Class of 1968. For many years he was an equipment operator of Lycoming Construction and Interstate Amesite Corporation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, making turkey calls and fishing lures, gardening, Denver Broncos and loved giving away some of his woodworking projects.

In addition to his wife of 43 years, Harry is survived by a son, Harry T. (Amanda) Shipman; daughter, Betty (Jeffrey) Shaw, of Muncy; three grandchildren, Harry T. Shipman II, Ashley and Megan Shaw; two step-grandchildren, Kelsey and Riley Christianson; a brother, Michael (Karla) Shipman, of Muncy; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Shipman, of Muncy.

Harry was preceded in death by a brother, Robert M. (Patricia) Shipman.
