Myron R. Thompson
Myron R. Thompson, 74, of Muncy, died June 6, 2014, at the Muncy Valley Hospital. He was born March 25, 1940, in Oswego, N.Y., a son of the late Myron F. and Marie (Powers) Thompson. June 30, 1973, he married Anna McKinstry, who survives.
Myron was a yard locomotive driver for Koppers for over 30 years. He was a self-employed garbage man in Oswego, N.Y., earlier in life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was a member of the Muncy Moose.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, Myron is survived by two daughters, Chrystal (Heath) Rose, of Oswego, N.Y. and Ann Thompson, of Muncy; a son, Myron Thompson III, of Muncy; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Morgan, Max, Brittany, Courtney, Tiffany, Kelly, Raven Skye, Myron IV and Damian; and eight great-grandchildren, Alyson, Emily, Hannah, Liam, Cameron, Kira, Ares Lee and Lelu.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the McCarty-Thomas Funeral home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, officiated by the Rev. Max L. Walters Jr. The family received friends in the funeral home from 10 a.m. till the time of service.
