Roxanna Fisher

Roxanna Fisher, 89, of Muncy, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at her home.

Born Oct. 29, 1924, in Lairdsville, she was a daughter of the late William W. and Nora E. Harding Jacob. Her husband of 56 years, Harry K. Fisher, preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2003.

Roxanna loved playing cards and bingo. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Surviving are five daughters, Edna L. (David) King, of Hillsgrove, Daisy J. (Tom) Styer, of Muncy, Roxie A. (Robert) Riddell, of Montgomery, Vickie J. (Scott) Kepner, of Muncy and Penny K. (Walt) Charles, of Muncy; a son, Kenneth E. Fisher, of Muncy; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Roxanna was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Aaron Styer; a daughter-in-law, Christine Steinbaucher Fisher; a sister, Edna Montague; and a brother, James Jacob.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Emily Styer officiating. Burial followed in Salem Cemetery, Unityville. Friends called from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
