Jeffrey L. Parsons

Jeffrey L. Parsons, 42, of 244 Dogle Lane, Mifflintown, and formerly of Muncy and Jersey Shore, died Monday, June 23, 2014, at his residence.

Born July 7, 1971, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late James B. Parsons Jr., who predeceased him on April 7, 2014, and Dorothy J. (Dauberman) Parsons, of Pennsdale, who survives. On Sept. 11, 1998, he married the former Michelle L. Myers, of Jersey Shore.

Jeff was a 1989 graduate of Muncy High School and served briefly in the U.S. Army. He served an internship and was later a recruiter with I.B.E.W.

For the past seven years he was employed by Asplundh Tree Service and was currently a foreman in the Lewistown area. Jeff enjoyed hunting and was a member of the N.R.A. He was also a member of the Billy O. Brandt Post No. 5859 V.F.W. and the B.P.O.E. (Elks) Lodge No. 1057, both in Jersey Shore.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is one son, Cody Parsons, of Muncy; two daughters, Danielle Parsons, of Muncy, and Paige Parsons, of Jersey Shore; one brother, James B. III (Ann) Parsons, of Airville; one grandson, Jaxon C. Tyre; one nephew, James Parsons IV; and two nieces, Megan Parsons and Rebecca Parsons.

In addition to his father he was predeceased by an infant brother, Timothy.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 5, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy. A time of remembering and sharing will follow the visitation, led by Rev. Charles Teffeteller, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lycoming County Hometown Heroes, Inc. (to assist local veterans).
