Daniel Fritz Foresman
Daniel Fritz Foresman, 71, of 64 Douglas Lane, Pennsdale, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at The Gatehouse, Williamsport.
Born Feb. 1, 1943, in Elimsport, he was a son of the late David Watson and Margaret (Fritz) Foresman. On May 1, 1965, he married the former Nancy K. Wagner, who survives. Together they celebrated 49 years of marriage.
Dan was a 1961 graduate of Warrior Run High School and a graduate of the Williamsport Technical Institute where he earned a degree in electronics.
He worked as a mechanic at the Otis Elevator Company for over 30 years before retiring. Dan also built, owned and assisted with the management of Penn Hills Plaza, Pennsdale.
He was a member of the Muncy Baptist Church. Dan was also a member of the Muncy Lodge No. 299, F&AM and the Williamsport Consistory.
An avid hunter, he was a member and secretary of the South Creek Rod & Gun Club, Elimsport. A sports enthusiast, Dan enjoyed following wrestling and football. Most dear to his heart was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and daughters-in-law, D. Bradley and Suzanne Foresman and Dr. Brian and Julie Foresman, all of Muncy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Dennis Gorg and Kristina and Kevin Rogers, all of Muncy; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Mary Foresman, of Allenwood, Hugh and Carol Foresman, of Watsontown and Richard and Mary Lou Foresman, of Muncy; a sister, Sue Reaser, of Turbotville; and 12 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and David Foresman.
Friends were received from 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday, at the Muncy Baptist Church, 11 W. Penn St., Muncy, where a memorial service will be held at noon, with his pastor, the Rev. Robert W. Rice, officiating.
