Beverly T. (McClintock) Edwards

Beverly T. (McClintock) Edwards, 89, a life-long resident of Montgomery, passed peacefully into the arms of her heavenly Father on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Milton Nursing & Rehab Center.

Born Oct. 15, 1924 in Montgomery, she was the daughter of the late John I. and Hazel (Miller) Thomas.

Beverly married William R. McClintock, in 1946, and they celebrated 24 years of marriage until his death in 1970. She married her second husband, Rex E. Edwards, in 1989, and they celebrated 14 years of marriage until his death in 2003.

Beverly was a 1942 graduate of Montgomery-Clinton High School. She retired from the former Northern Central Bank, Montgomery, where she worked as a teller.

Beverly was a member of the Clinton Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth W. (Roberta) McClintock, of Montgomery; two daughters and one son-in-law; Peggy A. Thompson, of Everett, Wash., and Susan M. (Henry) Williams, of Liberty Hill, Texas; six grandchildren, Douglas McClintock, Jeffrey McClintock, Sheila Thompson, Gina Thompson, Amy Williams and Shawn Williams; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother, Harlan P. Thomas, and two sisters, Doris T. (Gruver) Yarger and L. Shirley (Baysore) Sampsell.

A private memorial service was conducted at the convenience of the family.
